Introduction

" I am a software engineer by profession. For office usage , I have a mac book pro , but again with limited functionality as I can't use it for personal use. For personal coding projects , learning and gaming , I was in market looking for an optimum solution. I was not interested in desktop though lucrative. I was looking for something with mobility but can give desktop grade performance.

Looked for traditional branded offerings in market. Interestingly , came across Azom. Read their reviews and finally gave them a call. I had a conversation with Arindam. He understood my requirements and suggested a configuration based on Exigo V2. Finally went with the order in Dec 2017 and got my unit delivered mid Jan 2018.

Azom Experience -

It's March, 2022 now. I got my order during Jan, 2017. It's been more than 5 years and the system is still going strong. I initially played several high end games like Witcher 3, DMC, assassin creed, etc. All the games in 1080p high settings ran well. Most of the game were able to run on ultra settings with high texture, graphics for hair etc. It was an amazing experience for me. I never faced any overheating, thermal throttling or frame drops. Now I use the system mostly for coding. Based on my workloads, I think I can still pull off a year or two out of Exigo.

I have also upgraded the system over the years in consultation with Azom team. Their advice have always been spot on. I have now over 2 TB of NVME drive, expanded my RAM to 48 GB, no changes in graphics or CPU. For coding in my field unless I am doing machine learning stuff, CPU and RAM are big bottlenecks. So for local development, system is doing a fantastic job.

In five years , few keyboard led gave out and battery drained out. So now its running more like a desktop replacement.

And last but not least, I would like to say their customer support is amazing. It's really good to see a small Indian company is catching up to western standards in terms of support. I think my research paid off and it feels good supporting a local business which can match up the offerings from big brands out there.

So if you are hesitant to put your hard earned money on Azom over a branded offering, then don't. I don't think any of those devices can provide the capability to upgrade. And trust me, big brand offerings in India are no where near to what these guys are offering in terms of price vs. performance." - Baljeet
